The Guild's Annual Exhibition is made possible by the generous support received from our sponsors. The exhibition attracts many visitors and interest throughout the world, through the quality of original aviation art on display for the first time. We mount a positive publicity campaign with engagement of artists and supporters.
The Guild is the leading and most successful art group in this genre attracting over 200 entries for the exhibition each year. Its senior artists are world leaders in their craft and include Chris French FGAvA (President) and Anthony Cowland FGAvA. We record the past, present and future of aviation and its aviators - why not join us?
Valuable publicity can be gained from association with the Guild's major event. Publicity posters and cards are circulated widely, coverage is given in aviation and other publications and the catalogue is a collector’s item; advertising in the catalogue is another possibility.

Aces High Aviation Gallery
The Guild of Aviation Artists is delighted to announce that Aces High Aviation Gallery have agreed to become a major sponsor of the Guild with a three-year deal starting in 2024.
Aces High are a leading gallery for aviation art, dealing in prints, some original works, showcasing aviation, military, and automotive art. Based in Oxfordshire, they also have premises in France and advertise in Air Classics in the US. They have many contacts in the industry and their interest is the development of new talent in aviation art, something which the Guild shares. The Guild sees this as an exciting development offering promising opportunities for collaboration in the future.

2026 EXHIBITION AWARDS AND GUILD TROPHIES
ACES HIGH ‘AVIATION PAINTING OF THE YEAR’ AWARD OF £500 for the best work at the Annual Exhibition depicting an aerospace subject in any hand-applied medium.
JON MOORE AWARD OF ART MATERIALS TO THE VALUE OF £400 for the Best Group of paintings by any artist at the Annual Exhibition.
THE de HAVILLAND AIRCRAFT MUSEUM TROPHY AND AWARD OF £200 awarded to the most interesting portrayal, in any medium, of a de Havilland aircraft, military or civil, first manufactured between the years 1937 and 1962 inclusive. Open to Full Members and Associates of the Guild.
THE ROYAL AIR FORCE MUSEUM PRIZE OF £200 for the best painting of an RAF subject from the last 30 years in Oils or Acrylic by any exhibiting artist.
THE LEONARDO HELICOPTERS ROTARY-WINGED FLIGHT TROPHY AND AWARD TO THE VALUE OF £550 for the best exhibit by any artist at the Annual Exhibition on the subject of rotary-winged flight.
THE FLYPAST AWARD – for the best work depicting WW2 aircraft in any medium by any artists at the Annual Exhibition. Presented by Flypast
New award for 2024 – winner will receive a trophy supplied by Flypast, £200 Key shop voucher and 1 Flypast subscription.
THE BONHAM TROPHY for the Best Group of Paintings in any medium by a Friend of the Guild. Given by the late Mrs Yvonne Bonham in memory of Charles Miller AGAvA.
THE GREAT WAR AVIATION SOCIETY AWARD of £100 for the ‘Best World War One Aviation Painting in Show’ and subscription to Cross & Cockade International’s Quarterly Journal.
THE SIR GEORGE EDWARDS MEMORIAL PLATE for the work which best depicts and reflects excellence and achievement in British Aviation by a Friend, Associate or Full Member of the Guild
THE ALEX HENSHAW TROPHY for the best painting by an Associate or Full Member in any medium exhibited at the Guild exhibition judged to best represent civil light aviation in the 1920s and 1930s.
THE ARTHUR GIBSON MEMORIAL TROPHY for the best work by an artist exhibiting in the Annual exhibition for the first time.
THE CHARLES PETTIT TROPHY for the best work demonstrating creativity and originality
THE PIONEER AWARD for the best work in the “Pioneer Period” - 1853 with Sir George Cayley up to August 1914 when WW1 started. New award offered by Geoffrey New.
