The de Havilland Museum is one of those collections where no matter how often you go, you always find something new to grab your attention!

For me this time it was the weathered cylindrical concrete blocks lying outside one of the hangers which turned out to be the original moulds for building the fuselages of de Havilland Hornets. If only they could be put back into use!

We had a good turnout of 13 artists at the recent SE Region visit to the museum on Saturday 5th October. Most arrived early, in time for the museum opening at 10:30am.

As always the staff and volunteers were very accommodating and provided an excellent meeting room for our critique at the end of the day. This is a lovely museum with a great range of aircraft and artifacts. I’m sure we will be back again soon.
