We arrived at the Fleet Air Arm Museum just as the heavens decided to open; but we didn’t let that dampen our day as we were soon inside chatting with a coffee! From all points of the compass, a decent number of artists had gathered at the ever-fascinating collection at Yeovilton.

Not with-standing the interior exhibits, there was activity over the fence too, as Navy Wings had a Seafire, Stinson and Swordfish amongst others airborne. With our artists spread throughout the
huge hangars, I spent time looking over shoulders at what was being created and I was just getting into my stride when critique time was upon us. The wonderful staff loaned us a mezzanine
area to facilitate this.

Our critique took place above the actual aircraft we had been sketching; a great surrounding to talk through our renderings. All too soon we found ourselves the last ones in the museum, so home time was upon us. A huge thank you to all the staff who made us so welcome, and to the public who
never tire of asking us questions!
