It was a cool damp autumnal Tuesday when we assembled in the main car park at RAF Cosford.
We were met by Sqd Ldr Chris Wilson who guided us to one of the large hangars used by the School of Technical Training. The hanger was full of Jaguars, Hawks, Tornados and even a vintage Jet Provost, plus a wide range of jet engines and ejector seats.
After a short safety briefing, we all went off to search for our sketching subject matter. We stopped for lunch and were escorted to the ‘on site’ cafeteria (the phrase ‘herding cats’ came to mind). After lunch we had a couple of hours to finish our sketches before the crit.
The crit was undertaken by David and Robert Calow.
A big thank you to Nigel for organising the day as well as Squadron Leader Chris Wilson at RAF Cosford who again made it all possible.
