Having visited Statfold Barn for the first time in September 2023, we felt the time was right for a revisit, considering the profusion of subject matter that the Museum contains.
Knowing that February is usually pretty chilly, we were comforted by the knowledge that at Statfold we would be sketching beautiful little steam engines in the comfort of a heated ‘round house’.

Accordingly, the event was very well supported with some 19 people attending….. made up of Guild members, both longstanding and newly joined, and with several guests booked in for the day.

The Museum repeated their extremely warm welcome, providing us with hot drinks throughout the day and a large separate room for us to use as our base.

David led the review of the day’s work together with a look at a few paintings which members are considering entering for this year’s Annual. This was an ideal opportunity for advice to be given in order to strengthen the chances of selection.

Then, in all too short order, it was again time to wrap up for the day and wend our ways homeward.
