Ten Midland members spent the day at RAF Cosford, hosted by Guild Honorary VP, Squadron Leader Chris Wilson. After meeting up with Chris at 10:00am we were escorted on to the airfield site and into Hangar 2, where a number of training aircraft were located.

No.2 School of Technical Training, part of the Defence School of Aeronautical Engineering at RAF Cosford, took delivery earlier this year of the fourth Eurofighter Typhoon prototype, ZH590 (DA4). The aircraft arrived from IWM Duxford and is now being used as an instructional airframe. This aircraft along with a Jaguar, a few Harriers and Hawks, were available to us for our sketching and painting activities during the day thanks to special arrangements by Squadron Leader Chris.

The critique was carried out by Robert and David to round off the day and thanks are due to them for their valuable insights, observations and advice.
