New membership payment system
As the end of year approaches and we consider our Membership
Subscription renewals, we have news from our Treasurer and Membership
sub-committee on a new way of paying subscriptions. The new renewal
system is now being introduced ready for 2025 subscriptions due by year
end.
Janet explains:
We will be using a new membership platform called Membermojo as our
database with immediate effect. You will soon receive an email
inviting you to renew your subscription due on 1st January 2025. A
link contained within your renewal email will take you to your details
held by us and there you will be able to renew your subscription using
our secure payment method for membership, Stripe or Paypal. If you
wish you can also renew by bank transfer. Cheques are now not accepted
by the Guild.
If you move house, change your telephone number or email address, you
can update your contact details now or at any time to keep the database
fully up to date by logging on to Membermojo using your email address.
You can also select which region or multiple regions you would like
event information from.
Once your membership subscription has been received, your membership
card will be emailed to you separately as a .pdf for you to print out at
home. We hope you will find this new system much easier to use. It
will also improve communications from the Guild to members for the
future, including Regional organisers, Secretary and Annual Exhibition
organisers.
If you find you have problems making payment using Stripe or are not
able to print your card at home please seek help from a family member,
your regional organisers, Martin in the Guild office or myself – we are
all here to help!
2025 AGM weekend
As a follow up to the AGM announcement from Andrew in the latest QN, I
include here a few more details for the weekend (12-13April 2025) to be
held at Middle Wallop.
It is intended that on the Saturday there will be an opportunity for
those who wish, to sketch and paint in the Historic Army Aircraft Flight
Hangar. The Historic Army Aircraft Flight is one of the Middle Wallop
Museum’s charity partners, located on the airfield next to the Museum.
The Army Flying Museum will be open as normal as an alternative place
to look around / sketch if desired or if numbers are limited for
Historic Flight Hangar.
We are pleased that the Saturday evening traditional get-together and
dinner will be held in The Officer’s Mess at Middle Wallop. This means
that for overnight accommodation, we will be asking members and guests
to kindly make their own arrangements.
It would be very helpful for us as we make plans for the running of the
weekend, to get an idea of the numbers that are interested at this stage
in attending part(s) of or all of the AGM weekend.
To this end we would be grateful if you could fill in the Google form /
questionnaire which Andrew has sent out recently. There is absolutely no
commitment required at this stage, just expressions of interest please.
It would be helpful if you could respond by the end of this month
