We all had good day at the GAvA sketching & social day at Norwich Air Museum in early April.
We arrived just in time to see the opening of the new Fenland Hall exhibition, with its stunning new exhibits on display. One of my favourites is the huge Short Stirling undercarriage wheel, indicating how really big the bomber was. The cafe has a lovely, relaxing cosy feel about it and as usual I spent a lot of time chatting and drinking coffee, but looking at my watch I finally prized myself away to do some sketching.
Some really good work was produced on the day despite the harsh wind. I have put together a creative montage of the artwork to show the excellent quality and range of subject matter. My thanks to everyone who attended and made the day and of course a very special thanks to Linda and the team for making us so welcome again.
Its a great little Museum and well worth a visit.
