Fifteen artists (with a few Guild members bringing their friends) gathered at the now twice-yearly Guild visit to the RAF Museum at Hendon, and the first sketching day for 2026.
Change is constant at the Museum, which is positive, and it’s also key to ensure the Museum remains popular through return visits.
After a short briefing we all headed to the various exhibition spaces and hangars across the site and fortunately, except for the ex-RAF air sea rescue launch and replica Spitfire and Hurricane, all the aircraft and exhibits are inside and heated.
Before long, the day was over and we all made our respective way home. Hendon is always a fascinating place to visit with an excellent range of aircraft to paint. The SE Region will return on Saturday 7th November. Thanks as always to the Hendon team of staff and volunteers who hosted our visit.
